Five Winners were selected during halftime of the boys basketball game on Tuesday, February 11th. The Whole Processed Hog Winner was Bruce Gast. The four Half Processed Hog Winners were - Joanna Jones, Mark Compton, Emily Bash and Lisa Myers. Thank you to all of those who participated and supported our Annual Pork Raffle.

The Elgin Comet Baseball program is once again having their annual Pork Raffle. For a $5.00 donation, participants have the opportunity to win 1 of 5 prizes. 1st Prize - Whole Processed Hog and 4 Runner-Up Prizes - 1/2 Processed Hog. Senior Sam Hardin is currently on the recruiting trail. Sam has visited Muskingum College, Defiance College and Baldwin Wallace University. Sam will also be visiting Tiffin University in the coming weeks.
Senior CJ Flach has also been on the recruiting trail. He is back from a recent trip to Tiffin University. CJ also has plans on visiting Heidelberg University as well in the near future.
CJ Flach is the Fahey Bank Male Athlete of the
Month for May 2013. CJ played as a pitcher and
shortstop for the Comets with a .952 fielding
percentage in the month of May.
While pitching, CJ was 3-1 in May with 32 innings
pitched and 20 batters struck out. This included
getting 2 wins in tournament play.
CJ excelled at batting with a .542 batting average,
10 RBI’s, and 11 runs scored in the month of May.
CJ was also named Division III First Team Pitcher
by the Central District Baseball Coaches Association.
